Gambrinus - Home
In Gambrinus you have come to a restaurant with tradition.

The locals and guests have been visiting this typical Berlin restaurant in Linienstraße 133 for more than a century. The first to offer beer and schnaps with a hearty "Bulette" (an genuine Berlin hamburger) in the "Schultheiss Restauration" were the Deutschbeins.

This was in theyear 1882.

Like German history, this restaurant has had its good times and its bad times. But despite any difficulties, the owners and their staff always did their best to offer their guests a comfortable atmosphere and good food.

In 1985, Lutz Keller took up the banner and reconstructed the interior of the restaurant in all its details. Soon after its reopening "Gambrinus" had already earned the reputation as an "old Berlin-style beer pub".

Since 1996 Gerhard Schroeder and his team have been serving Gambrinus´ guests in the same manner.

The chef´s particular interests is in preparing traditional Berlin and Brandenburg meals. Berlin is known throughout Germany for their "Buletten", but their cuisine, and the Berliners, are much more.

We hope that you enjoy your visit. And should you have any culinary wish, just let us know. We will do everything we can to satisfy it.

After all, Berliners are known to be rough, but affable!
